"Cho Bom Ban"(Early Spring Class)

The Early Spring Class is designed for children ages 3–4. Students naturally and joyfully learn Korean consonants and vowels through a variety of hands-on activities such as singing, dancing, cutting and pasting, and drawing. Through multimedia resources and experience-based lessons, children also become familiar with Hangul and Korean culture in a fun and engaging environment.

During the school performance day, students build confidence and self-expression by introducing themselves, singing Korean children’s songs, and presenting small performances in front of their parents and older students.

"Bom Ban"(Spring Class)

The Spring Class is for children ages 5–6. Students learn Korean consonants and vowels naturally while developing fine motor skills and creativity through various art-based activities. In the United States, where opportunities to experience Korean culture may be limited, our class focuses not only on Korean language education but also on expanding children’s understanding and appreciation of Korean culture.

Special activities in the Spring Class are primarily centered around art. At times, STEAM-based projects that integrate art, science, and math are introduced so students can explore scientific concepts and creative thinking in a playful and enjoyable way. Lessons also incorporate Korean traditional culture themes, allowing students to naturally experience and enjoy learning Korean while actively participating in hands-on cultural activities.

As children grow older and eventually face questions about identity, we hope that the Korean language and cultural experiences they gain from an early age will become a strong and meaningful foundation in their lives. With this vision in mind, we carefully prepare each week’s lessons with dedication and care.

"Yeo Reum Ban"(Summer Class)

The Summer Class is designed for students in grades 1–5 who are learning the foundational stages of Hangul. Lessons focus on Korean reading and writing skills while also incorporating Korean storybooks such as traditional folktales and creative children’s stories. Teachers read stories aloud, discuss them together with students, and provide curriculum-related games and activities.

Considering students’ ages and language backgrounds, the class aims to naturally foster interest and enthusiasm for learning Korean. To make learning more engaging and effective, various multimedia resources are used to strengthen communication-based Korean language skills.

Students learn Hangul naturally through hands-on activities such as drawing, cutting, pasting, speaking, and matching words and pictures related to the lesson topics. Through these interactive and age-appropriate learning methods, students become more comfortable and familiar with the Korean language.

Homework includes writing assignments as well as online submissions through Padlet. Students also memorize and present Korean children’s songs and poems, helping them develop confidence and expressive communication skills.

"Ga Eul Ban"(Fall Class)

The Fall Class is primarily composed of middle school students. To create a more engaging and effective learning environment, the class incorporates an adapted form of the Jewish discussion-based learning method known as Havruta.

Students work in pairs at the classroom board, quizzing each other on memorized vocabulary and lesson content while checking and discussing answers together. When mistakes occur, students explain their reasoning verbally or through drawings, exchange hints and questions, and deepen their understanding of vocabulary and sentence meanings through discussion.

After this collaborative learning process, students demonstrate stronger comprehension and improved learning outcomes when reading passages and solving exercises.

Following textbook-based Korean instruction, students also explore Korean folktales, K-POP culture, and Korean history through various audiovisual materials, broadening their understanding of Korean culture.

During the 10-minute class break, students enjoy traditional Korean games such as “The Rose of Sharon Has Bloomed” (“Mugunghwa Kkoci Pieotseumnida”), creating a lively and joyful classroom atmosphere.

"Gyeu Wool Ban"(Winter Class)

The Winter Class is primarily designed for high school students. While textbook-based Korean learning serves as the foundation, students also explore Korean language and culture through a wide variety of multimedia resources.

The class focuses on improving Korean communication skills and expanding students’ understanding of Korean society and culture through a step-by-step “expression and comprehension” learning process.

Students create personalized vocabulary notebooks to organize new words and expressions while freely expressing their thoughts and understanding, naturally strengthening both comprehension and memorization. By adapting the Havruta learning method, students work in pairs to review lesson content through role-playing activities, discussions, and question-and-answer exercises that apply Korean to real-life situations.

Lessons are connected to familiar topics such as daily life, school, friends, and family so students can practically apply vocabulary and grammar in meaningful contexts. Korean music, dramas, and audiovisual materials are also incorporated to deepen students’ understanding and interest in Korean culture.

Although students are encouraged to communicate in Korean during class, they also occasionally read and discuss English-language articles related to Korea. Lessons are prepared according to students’ proficiency levels, and during group discussions on common topics, students are encouraged to participate comfortably using either Korean or Korean-mixed English.

Through peer support and collaborative learning, students naturally help one another grow, creating positive synergy and a more engaging and effective learning environment.
